The Team AuthorBytes provides clients with a unique blend of industry expertise, custom technology, and a network of proven specialists who can help authors promote their books and build their brand. AuthorBytes founder Steve Bennett is passionate about helping authors succeed – he knows what it’s like to put your heart and soul into a book, having penned more than 50 books in the fields of computing, parenting, environment, and business. His 365 TV-Free Activities You Can Do With Your Child (Adams Media) and several companion books have sold more than one million copies. Steve also brings to AuthorBytes his experience as a journalist who has contributed feature articles on business and technology to numerous publications; as a producer for the Family Education Network; and as a media trainer who has helped hundreds of technology companies develop and deliver effective messages to their most important audiences. Steve personally works with each AuthorBytes client to develop a long-term strategy for creating and leveraging a strong online presence. Creative director Scot Villeneuve brings a unique confluence of skills and experience to AuthorBytes, including Web design and development, rich media/Flash technology, and video productions. Scot not only creates innovative Web sites and multimedia production, but he oversees the work of Flash programmer Joe Hall and a team of Web designers that includes: Jessica Marony and Kristine Hanson. Each has extensive print and Web design experience, and each provides AuthorBytes clients with fresh ideas as well as a customized look and feel for their sites. Project manager and technology trainer Nancy MacDonald understands the needs of both booksellers and authors. A former co-owner and marketing director for two independent bookstores, Nancy is responsible for AuthorBytes’ day-to-day workflow and for teaching clients how to use the AuthorBytes Content Management System. She also serves as the liaison between clients and the AuthorBytes design team to coordinate site enhancements and updates. IT Director Charlene Wroblewski is responsible for creating original AuthorBytes programming and for maintaining security for the company’s 18 servers. She also works closely with an offshore team to develop and refine the AuthorBytes Content Management System. A computer engineer and diehard technogeek, Charlene is fluent in all major Web programming languages. In addition to working with its core team, AuthorBytes works closely with specialists in complementary fields, including traditional and online book PR, online book marketing, and social media marketing. We assemble teams to match our clients’ needs and budgets. Our goal is simple: create innovative, high quality online tools that help our authors garner the attention they deserve. |
