Wendy Mass has been writing for young adults and teens for the past eight years. She's penned ten non-fiction books on educational topics ranging from a biography of great children's book authors to a study of the Gods and Goddesses of ancient cultures. She has written two novels, A Mango-Shaped Space, which won the Schneider Family Book Award from the American Library Association and her new novel, Leap Day, which was chosen as a Junior Library Guild selection. She also launched Writes of Passage, a non-profit literary journal for teens. Her career, since receiving her bachelor's degree at Tufts University, includes stints as a script reader for a Hollywood film producer and as an editor with a number of New York-based publishers. She has a Masters degree in creative writing from California State University, Long Beach, and a Doctor of Letters degree from Drew University. She currently lives with her husband in New Jersey.
